Washington state announced Reopening plan, and its Phase 1 was conducted. We are possible to go out step by step. I wanted to confirm the current corona virus status in the USA. So, I made charts for myself by myself.
The target was the death counts per density. The point is the density of population, not the population. This makes it easier to see how crowded it is and how it is held down. The charts show the death counts from Worldometer and the density of population from Wikipedia. The data was adapted on May 2.

Death counts per Density of population each state
I divided into 3 zones to understand. It does not mean much. The outline is as the follows.
- Zone 1: New Jersey
New Jersey has more deaths than Zone 2. But its density of population is 56012 pop/mile2. It can be said that it has been suppressed successfully.
- Zone 2: Most states
Zone 2 is explained in the expand chart at the below.
- Zone 3: New York
New York has a large number of deaths, but it is clear to outstanding in compared with the density of population. It is clear that it is overshooting in New York unlike other states.

This chart is expanded Zone 2 portion. Zone2 is divided into 3 areas form Zone 2-1 to Zone 2-3.
- Zone 2-1:
There are California, Florida and so on. California is a region rapidly increased in the initial stage of Corona virus pandemic.
- Zone 2-2:
It is the eastern coast such as Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. It succeeds in controlling the death counts, although these areas are the lower density of population than New York. Oregon is also positioned in this zone and suppressed successfully.
- Zone 2-3:
This zone is near Zone 3. There is the eastern coast such as Michigan and Connecticut. Although the number of deaths is quite high comparing with the density of population, it is suppressed successfully. Washington is also pointed in this zone. The number of deaths is around 1000 population which is not so big. Washington is suppressed successfully.
As a resident of Washington, I would like to think about California, Oregon and Washington in the western coast.
- California:
The deaths counts is high, but it is suppressed successfully from the perspective of the population density. - Oregon:
The death counts is small, and it is successfully suppressed. - Washington:
The deaths counts is not quite high, but it is not optimistic from perspective of the population density. It is not surprise since Washington is the first region to occur the death in the USA. Reopening Plan is conducted in May. I hope the deash counts is kept without overshooting in the future.
